Michael Kaufman

Mr. Kaufman joined LCP in January 2024 to assist with both reestablishing and expanding the company’s footprint in the EB-5 space after a hiatus starting in 2020. His main objective is to lead the EB-5 international team, establish partnerships, as well as secure investments from direct investors. Another priority is to assist in the growth of additional capital partners for more traditional real estate investment opportunities.

Prior to joining LCP Group, Mr. Kaufman worked in the NYC real estate field for over a decade. He most recently helped build a startup focusing on property management software. Prior to that, Mr. Kaufman worked for a leading real estate developer in NYC, where he oversaw one of the most successful lease-ups of a luxury rental building in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

Working for Extell New York Regional Center enabled Mr. Kaufman to learn the ins and outs of the EB-5 business. He was responsible for expanding the team’s network of partners globally, hosting seminars, and ensuring the EB-5 portion of each project’s funding was fully subscribed. During that time, he helped raise over $250 million for various projects around NYC. Mr. Kaufman also helped build an individual unit property management company that specialized in assisting foreign real estate investors oversee their U.S. portfolio. Being business proficient in Mandarin Chinese, the company grew exceptionally fast in the China market. Within a year, the company had $250 million AUM.

Mr. Kaufman graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. degree in History and Political Science. He then lived in China for four years where he learned Mandarin and worked for Cushman & Wakefield prior to returning to New York.
