As a premier real estate investment advisor, LCP specializes in creating single asset and portfolio investment opportunities and manages a debt and equity portfolio for foreign investors seeking permanent residency through the U.S. EB-5 program.
We are currently growing our team and have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Analyst to join our deal team. This individual will be primarily responsible for supporting the firm’s acquisitions and asset management teams, including but not limited to: evaluating and underwriting new investment opportunities, financial analysis, due diligence, and market research. The role will report into our Executive Vice President, Investment and Finance, and will be based in our White Plains office.
Essential job responsibilities and accountabilities:
Acquisition
Work in sophisticated Microsoft Excel models for underwriting investment opportunities and reporting to senior management on the viability of potential acquisitions and development opportunities across real estate asset classes; opportunity to create new models and bring ideas for improving them
Assist in the creation of presentations of investment opportunities for the working group and Investment Committee and conduct required follow-up
Provide active support and assistance in the management of the due diligence and post‐investment process, including review and analysis of financial statements, legal agreements, market research, and other investment‐related information
Work within a team assisting with all stages of the transactions process – from initial deal sourcing through asset disposition
Understand capital and investment structure, including investment analysis principles such as IRR’s, Discounted Cash Flows, Cash on Cash Returns, Levered and Unlevered Returns
Conduct ad hoc work and projects as requested by management
Asset Management
Analyze, evaluate, and track investment performance throughout the lifecycle of an asset and provide reporting and updates to the deal team
Conduct analysis and provide useful insights, as well as aggregate data from various sources, to create monthly asset management reports and ad hoc reports focused on variances to underwriting, valuation analysis, and distribution projections
Engage with property management teams on a regular basis to identify value add and profit maximization opportunities
Collaborate with team members and joint venture partners to develop strategies to maximize revenue and capitalize on market dynamics
Conduct ad hoc work and projects as requested by management
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform essential job functions:
1‐2 years of applicable experience, preferably in a real estate principal investing capacity with exposure to hospitality
Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills utilizing Microsoft Excel
Advanced Microsoft Excel with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
A creative thinker capable of critical thinking and the ability to draw independent conclusions
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively meet deadlines
Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Display a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, accurate and reliable prioritization, strong time management, solid technical skills, and exemplary teamwork
High attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Positive attitude and high-energy personality who can work well under pressure
Work conditions:
Must be able to report to the White Plains office.
This is a full-time role that may require the need to work overtime and/or evenings.
This is an independent contributor role and does not have direct reports.
There may be periodic travel required.
