Joseph Westervelt
Mr. Westervelt is responsible for underwriting and portfolio management of LCP’s net lease and EB-5 portfolios.
Prior to joining LCP, Mr. Westervelt was an Analyst at Brookfield Properties working in the Asset Management and Investments Division of their U.S. office portfolio. Throughout his seven-year tenure at Brookfield, Mr. Westervelt was involved in some of the firm’s most complex transactions including the $11.4 billion dollar acquisition of Forest City Realty Trust and the sale of a 49% joint venture interest in One Manhattan West to Blackstone. Additionally in 2022, Mr. Westervelt was part of a team that signed the largest New York City office deal of the year (KPMG for 457,000 SF at Two Manhattan West) and leased the most volume of any owner in New York, totaling over 2.6 million SF.
Prior to Brookfield, Mr. Westervelt worked at Artimus Development Corporation on a variety of multifamily and hotel ground-up development projects.
Mr. Westervelt holds a BS in Political Science from the University at Albany.
